Dexter DVD Box Set
DVD box sets are a great way to have a diverse library of entertainment. Dexter is an American television drama and dark comedy series based on Jeff Lindsays novel, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, and is one of the newest additions to DVD box set selections. This television series debuted in 2006 and is broadcast by the Showtime cable network.
Orphaned at a young age, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) was adopted by Miami police officer Harry Morgan (James Remar). Harry Morgan realizes that Dexter is a sociopath with homicidal tendencies and teaches the boy how to act as if he has normal emotions and is socially conscious. With his father's help, Dexter learns to direct his deranged fascination with killing towards murdering serial killers that have previously escaped being captured or were never sentenced because of legal loopholes.
An actual serial killer himself, Dexter works as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, giving him access to information about his murder targets and the ability to cover up evidence of his own crimes.
Dexter's emotionally scarred girlfriend, Rita Bennett, is played by Julie Benz, and his sister, Debra Morgan, is played by Jennifer Carpenter.
Dexter has completed two seasons and is currently broadcasting its third season. The show has been renewed for seasons three and four. Seasons one and two can be purchased as a DVD box set.
