Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) and Wesley Wyndham-Pryce (Alexis Denisof) are Buffy's Watchers in the series. Buffy confronts at least one villain in each episode. She finds herself in combat with vampires, demons, ghosts, zombies, werewolves, and evil humans. Individual episodes build on the overall storyline while introducing new, episode-specific storylines. Everyday life situations are woven into the plots along with the adventures of battling evil forces.
